Didn't Know Such Places Existed
There aren't any Starbucks stores in Perth. It's fantastic. And refreshing.
Incidentally, as ubiquitous as Starbucks elsewhere would be Dome, the local coffee chain. Since it was new to me I found it quite pleasant, but I will say it was was more fun exploring other local independent coffee shops.

I just checked out the Dome in Singapore, where they tend to be located in really high end malls (but aren't all malls in Asia high end, ok this one was really high end), seems they have different placement than in Singapore. Coffee was decent, but it's no Peet's and the banana chocolate confection was ruined by was it raisins? Coffee makes the heart grow fonder...
Seeing the Dome cup brings me back to Fremantle - I used to meet friends and study in the Dome cafe, it is a great place.
